Residence class visas

Work visas

The Accredited Employer Work Visa is the main work visa category in New Zealand. This category is based on an offer of full-time employment from a New Zealand employer that holds accreditation with Immigration New Zealand, and where the employer has demonstrated that they have been unable to find suitable New Zealand citizens or residents to fill the role.

Student visas

If you wish to study in New Zealand for more than three months you need to apply for a student visa. The New Zealand Government is focused on offering high-quality tertiary education for international students, and there is a wide range of qualifications and institutions to choose from. Student visas are normally granted part-time work rights (up to 20 hours per week) which means that you can earn some money, gain local work experience, and improve your English.

Also, certain student visas are eligible for a post-study open work visa which allows you to stay in New Zealand after completing your studies, utilizing acquired skills and knowledge obtained through education in New Zealand.

Visitor visas

New Zealand is home to one of the most breath-taking and picturesque locations in the world. There is diverse and unspoiled scenery, remarkable Maori culture, and unique wildlife among many features. Few destinations in the word boast so many staggering natural wonders packed into such a small area.

Citizens of non-visa waiver countries must first submit and be approved a visitor visa application if they wish to travel to New Zealand for holidays, or to visit family and friends. All visitors must demonstrate that they have genuine intentions to visit New Zealand, sufficient funds for maintenance during their stay, and evidence of outbound travel.

We also provide advice and assistance with a wide range of other visitor visa categories, including but not limited to parent and grandparent multiple entry visitor visas and guardian visitor visas.

Family-based visas

Partners and dependent children of certain visa holders and New Zealand citizens/residents are eligible to apply for family-based work, student, and visitor visas, so they can all travel and spend time together in New Zealand. Family-based visa applications require to provide evidence of the relationship with the person who supports the family-based visa application, such as a parent, de facto partner or spouse.

Dependent children of temporary visa holders may also be eligible to come to New Zealand and attend school as domestic students for the same duration as their parents, without having to pay fees as international students.
