I will be arriving in New Zealand this March through the Working Holiday Visa program, and I want to gain experience in dairy farming.
Although I don’t have hands-on experience yet, I have completed a specialized Dairy Farming course (Pampa International) taught by professionals based in New Zealand.
Throughout this course, we learned about: Calving season Mating principles and main tasks Pasture management Spring and autumn rotational planning Animal nutrition, ration formulation, and diet balancing Milk quality and efficient milking (Herringbone and Rotary) Mastitis detection and treatment Calf and heifer rearing
